Quality Improvement Plan and Assessment Plans
The UAA CM Quality Improvement Plan includes:
- Strategic Plan
- Program Assessment Plan
- Academic Assessment Plans for the Bachelor of Science in Construction Management (BSCM)
- Academic Assessment Plans for the Associate of Applied Science in Construction Management (AASCM)
- Assessment Implementation Plan
- Academic Quality Tracking and Assessment Matrices
- Quality Improvement Plan
- BSCM ACADEMIC QUALITY TRACKING AND ASSESSMENT MATRIX
- AASCM ACADEMIC QUALITY TRACKING AND ASSESSMENT MATRIX
The Academic Quality Tracking and Assessment Matrices collect program data that is reviewed annually by CM faculty, with input from the Construction Management Industry Advisory Board (IAB). Recommendations for program or assessment changes may be made annually based on review results.
Further program assessment data is requested annually from the Industry Advisory Board. Individual IAB members may be assigned certain elements of the program or specific curriculum to review. Written comments are submitted to the Chair of the CM program. CM faculty review IAB comments and recommend appropriate actions. Actions taken by the CM program are reported back to the IAB.
Indirect assessment measures are provided by IDEA (Individual Development and Educational Assessment) surveys. IDEA student surveys are provided at the end of every UAA course. They are used as an external source for student feedback. This is an externally managed student survey that provides an anonymous source of student feedback.
A Student Exit Survey has been developed to provide information about program effectiveness, general university educational effectiveness, and quality of university support services.
An Alumni survey is being developed for CM graduates who have been working in the construction management field for at least one year. The survey asks alumni what elements they wish had been included in their university education to benefit their current professional pursuits.
