Why did you want to be an academic coach?
Becoming an academic coach just felt right for me. I've always loved helping people
reach their full potential, especially when it comes to understanding tricky subjects
and mastering their studies. It's all about that satisfaction of seeing someone light
up when they finally grasp something they've been struggling with. I want to bring
that same excitement to coaching, helping students find their groove, perfect their
study routines, and achieve their academic goals. It's not just about grades鈥攊t's
about helping people grow and realize their capabilities.
What is your favorite spot to study on campus?
The Consortium Library! Spent every morning there last semester!

Why did you want to be an academic coach?
I鈥檝e always loved helping people with school, whether it be siblings or friends, and
being an academic coach lets me take that further than I鈥檝e been able to before. Quite
a few people have struggles that ordinary tutors can鈥檛 help with, like time management
and how to navigate programs like Microsoft Excel and websites like Blackboard, and
I know that being an academic coach will ensure that a resource for students to get
one-on-one help with these problems will be available.
What is your top study tip?
Study with other people! I鈥檝e always learned more when studying with other people,
as both having to rephrase a concept I already know to explain it to someone else
and having a concept explained to me in a different manner than the professor help
me learn more efficiently than studying by myself.
