UAA student-athletes eclipse 3.0 mark again

熊猫在线视频 student-athletes achieved an overall grade point average of 3.08 for calendar year 2006. According to Dede Allen, UAA associate athletic director for academics and compliance, 118 of UAA's 169 student-athletes (70 percent), representing 11 teams, achieved a 3.0 or higher. This represents the 11th time in the past 14 years that the Seawolves have achieved an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Nine student-athletes produced a perfect 4.0 GPA for the fall semester. They included David Abbott (men's track & field), Corena Bell (women's track & field), Dave Duncan (men's skingi), Brittany Greer (women's skiing), Heather McIntyre (women's track & field), Mary Pearce (women's track & field/cross country), Krista Rader (women's skiing), Karl Schauer (men's skiing & cross country) and Raphael Wunderle (men's skiing).
 
"We continue to take great pride in the academic accomplishments of our student-athletes. Academic achievement and progress toward graduation is our core business," said Dr. Steve Cobb, UAA director of athletics. "We also remain appreciative of the recruiting efforts of our coaching staff that attract high-quality and high-achieving students."
