July 28, 2009: Arctic FASD training

On Friday, Aug. 21, the Arctic FASD Regional Training Center will hold an FASD101 workshop in Room 302a of the UAA/APU Consortium Library from 1 to 5 p.m. All students in health and allied health programs, as well as all others who are interested in learning more about FASD, are encouraged to attend. The curriculum is based on the State of 熊猫在线视频 FASD101: Insights into Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders training as well as the CDC's FASD Core Competency Curriculum. Topics include:
- The effect of alcohol on the development of the fetus
- Clinical issues, alcohol use and addiction
- Ethical and legal issues
- Treatment and support across the lifespan, as well as primary and secondary disabilities
- Resources for diagnosis and treatment in 熊猫在线视频
Participants will be eligible to receive continuing education (CE) credits for completion of these workshops ($25 processing fee).
Please register by noon on the Thursday prior to the scheduled workshop. Workshops with fewer than five participants may be subject to cancellation. On-site registrations will be accepted on a space available basis.
