The Office of Admissions would like to thank all the faculty, staff, and students who made Fall Preview Day such a great success. Because of your support, we were able to host nearly 200 high school students and more than 100 parents and counselors for a day of fun classes, informational workshops and campus tours.
Thank you to Dr. Bruno Kappes from Psychology; Dr. Mary Logan from University Honors College; Dr. Frank Jeffries from Business Administration; Dr. Philip Price from Logistics; Dennis Massingham and Scott Parsons from Automotive; Brooke Rodriguez, Martha Christenson, Marissa Carrillo, and Kate Watkins from Nursing; Master Sergeant Donald Ramey from Army ROTC; and Dr. Nicholas Hazelton from Geomatics for their time and effort to present mock classes.
Thank you to each and every department, club and organization that sent representatives to participate in the Majors Fair. Thank you to Ted Malone, Mike Smith and the Enrollment Management staff for presenting and moderating workshops, leading groups on campus tours and coordinating lunch. Thank you to Rick Shell, Chief, University Police; Debra Lovaas, Director, Housing and Dining & Conference Services; Dr. Dewain Lee, Dean of Students & Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Development; Dr. Lacy Karpilo, Director, Residence Life; Marian Bruce, Assistant Dean, University Honors; Jennifer Headrick, Advising & Testing Center; Andrea Alexander, UA Scholars Program Manager; Shirlee Willis-Haslip, Interim Registrar; and Cecile Mitchell, Director of Admissions for serving on an Administration panel and taking valuable time to answer parents' questions.
A special thanks to Dr. Bruce Schultz, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, for welcoming our visitors to the event. Thanks to your hard work and dedication, we were able to offer prospective students a chance to see themselves on campus and, hopefully, bring them one step closer to becoming a Seawolf.
