Farewell event for UAA's departing Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Mike Driscoll - April 30, 2012
by Kathleen McCoy |
Monday, April 30, 4-6 p.m.
Wells Fargo Sports Complex, Gymnasium
You are cordially invited to join our UAA community in expressing warm appreciation to Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Mike Driscoll for six years of innovative leadership. A farewell reception is planned for Monday, April 30 from 4-6 p.m. in the Wells Fargo Sports Complex gymnasium. In July, Mike begins a new career chapter when he assumes the role of President at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Many will recall Mike's arrival at UAA in June of 2006, and his ongoing guidance in so many important advances and successes at UAA - our health university designation, doubling engineering graduates statewide, emphasizing the university's international citizenship, achieving accreditation and welcoming the largest-ever corporate gift to complete the integrated science building.
All point to Mike's wonderfully collaborative spirit. He is funny, calm and clear-sighted - characteristics that brought out the best in everyone around him. So we hope you'll consider sharing your own "Mike-ism" when we gather April 30 to thank him for his good work.
