UAA staff and students recycled 128 cell phones last week

During a Cell Phone Recycling Drive last week at UAA, students and staff dropped off 128 cell phones and 97 chargers and batteries for recycling. Go, Seawolves!
Cell phones contain toxic metals that can pollute soil and water if not disposed of properly. All collected cell phones, chargers and batteries were sent to Wireless Alliance, who then recycled the devices through an Environmental Protection Agency facility. Another drive will be held in the fall for those who missed this current event. Stay tuned!
