Learn more about sex, birth control, health and everything in between during Healthy Sexuality Week, Feb. 7-13. Event highlights include:
Dan Savage presents "Savage Love Live"
Thursday, Feb. 7, 7:30 p.m.
Wendy Williamson Auditorium
Boldly covering everything and anything related to sex and relationships, Dan Savage answers questions about virginity, orgasms, monogamy and more. Not just an LGBT speaker, Dan Savage creates a space for all students to honestly discuss taboo topics. With the audience driving the discussion, the program can touch on any subject--from sexual problems to gay marriage to child-raising to sex education to the current political scene.
Sexy Jeopardy
Monday, Feb. 11, 5:30-7 p.m.
Gorsuch Commons, Cafeteria; and
Tuesday, Feb. 12, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Student Union
Come impress your friends with your knowledge of sexuality, from STIs to pop culture, sex and music. The game will run like the popular game show hosted by Alex Trebek, with answers provided and students providing the question. Bring a team or organize one right before the game. Winning teams will receive prizes such as gift cards for local restaurants, movies and more.
Know Your Status: Free STI Screening Day
Wednesday, Feb. 13, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Student Health and Counseling Center (Rasmuson Hall, Room 116/120)
Take charge of your health and know your status! All Student Health and Counseling Center eligible students are encouraged to come in for this free testing. Tests include HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia and syphilis. Please do not urinate for one hour prior to testing.
Healthy Sexuality Resource Fair
Wednesday, Feb. 13, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Rasmuson Hall, Lobby
Visit booths of local and student organizations and have all your questions answered.
