Michael H. Crawford is a professor of biological anthropology and genetics at the
University of Kansas. He has published more than 250 academic papers in a long career
that began with a Ph.D. from the University of Washington. His research reflects areas
of interest, not only those within the communities of anthropology and archaeology,
but also within the biological sciences.
