Tiny fish, big impact

Stickleback Research

Student researchers at UAA are examining the threespine stickleback鈥攁 centimeters-long fish common in Anchorage parks鈥攖o better understand how genetic variations affect immune response in humans. Funded by the National Institute of Health, it's hyper-local research with national implications.
