Leadership changes at the Office of Sponsored Programs
by Michelle Saport |
Dear colleagues,
It is with regret that I must announce the resignation of Ms. Tana Myrstol, director of the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), effective Aug. 31, 2018.
Tana has worked at UAA for nearly a decade and became the OSP director in 2016. She has worked diligently to provide the UAA faculty and staff with the necessary guidance to maneuver complex grant applications, working with them to overcome the impact surrounding obstacles and improving the understanding and communications surrounding this process. By doing so, Ms. Myrstol has contributed a level of expertise to this institution which was not present before her arrival and for that I thank her on behalf of the entire research and sponsored program team and wish her the best of success in her future endeavors.
With change of this magnitude, comes the natural concern as to the future of the office, processes and leadership. On behalf of the Office of Research and Graduate Studies, I am happy to announce that Ms. Elizabeth Dickinson accepted to serve as an Acting Director of OSP. Ms. Dickinson has worked at UAA for more than five years. She has a proven track record of progressive responsibility. For the past three years she served as assistant director for post awards at OSP.
Best of luck to Tana, she will be missed, and good sailing to Elizabeth and our team.
Best regards, George Kamberov Associate Vice Provost for Research
