Job Shadowing
CoEng, in partnership with UAA Career Services, offers a job shadowing program. These
job shadows will typically be half a day with a professional in the field. This is
a relatively low-cost way to connect students with employers and for students to learn
about career options. If you鈥檙e a junior or senior thinking about a job, use this
as an opportunity to learn about some local employers. If you鈥檙e a freshman or sophomore,
use it as an opportunity to network with potential internship providers and explore
career paths. If you鈥檙e not sure you鈥檙e in the right major and are thinking of switching,
you should definitely check out job shadowing!
To see the list of employers who are offering job shadows, check out Handshake and look at 鈥淓vents.鈥� You can view the job shadows any time, but to register, you must watch a brief (30 minute) training video and take a short quiz.
