Several scholarships are available for BSW and MSW majors. All social work students
are encouraged to apply for scholarships offered by UAA, the College of Health, and
UA, in addition to those that are administered by the School of Social Work. Learn

School of Social Work Scholarships
Dove Kull Memorial Scholarship
A $500 minimum award, which is available to fully admitted BSW and MSW students at
UAA. A 2.0 GPA is required. Application submission deadline is Dec. 6, 2024.

Social Work Administration Scholarship
Scholarship amount varies, which would be used toward tuition and fees. MSW and BSW

Thorsness Family Scholarship
The Thorsness Family Scholarship provides financial assistance for tuition and other
related educational expenses to students enrolled in the BSW or MSW program at UAA.
The award amount is $1,000. A 2.0 GPA is required for BSW students, while a 3.0 GPA
is required for MSW students. Application submission deadline is Dec. 6, 2024.
