CAEP Accountability Measures
The School of Education Advanced Licensure and Certification programs at the University of ÐÜèÔÚÏßÊÓƵ Anchorage are accredited by the Council of the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). The Department of Graduate Studies in Education, Indigenizing Education, and Leadership prepares candidates for advanced teaching and school administration preparation. All advanced licensure and certification programs of the School of Education are delivered in a distance delivery format and are collaborative, experiential, standards-based, research-guided, and assessment/data-informed.
Satisfaction of Employers and Stakeholder Involvement
The Advanced Licensure program faculty developed new Alumni & Employer Survey tools in AY 2022-2023 to be piloted with AY 2020-2021 completers in Fall 2023.
Candidate Competency at Program Completion
All candidates in the following programs must meet as a condition of completion of the program: Graduate Certificate in Special Education, MEd Educational Leadership, and Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership.
*Candidates in the Language and Literacy program are not required to complete all AK DEED licensing requirements as a condition of program completion. Candidates interested in earning the endorsement must meet all AK DEED licensing requirements.
