Student Complaints and Disputes
UAA affirms the right of all students to request, through fair and timely dispute resolution procedures, the review of decisions that adversely affect them.
Informal Dispute Resolution Procedure
Students are encouraged to first attempt to resolve their disputes on an informal basis prior to pursuing a formal dispute resolution procedure. Informal Dispute Resolution means discussing concerns with the original decision-maker, that person鈥檚 immediate supervisor, or the local community campus administration. The informal resolution process gives students an opportunity to discuss the concern and to gain a better understanding of why the decision was made. If the student鈥檚 concern remains unresolved after following informal procedures, students have recourse to a range of Formal Dispute Resolution Procedures listed below, depending on the type of concern.
