Student Research & Creative Scholarship Showcase
The Student Research & Creative Scholarship Showcase (SRCSS) celebrates the excellent academic work of UAA's students across an interdisciplinary spectrum of arts and humanities, social sciences, business, health, education, applied sciences, engineering, and natural sciences. This is an in-person event, where students present their project to judges to compete for prizes.
Students are asked to submit a 36"x24" conference poster showcasing the best of their academic work. Below you will find information on what we are asking students to include with their posters, the Submission Form, and numerous resources to help with creating effective and memorable conference posters!
Please note: Group submissions are accepted - there is a spot on the submission form to indicate it is a group effort.
Submissions to the Showcase will open in March!

Showcase FAQs
- How many projects can I submit to the Showcase?Students may submit only one poster to the Showcase. If you have multiple projects in which you are part of a group, and each group wishes to submit their poster, you can serve as the representative for submission and/or presenting for only one of these projects. Other project(s) must be presented by other members of your group(s), or they will not be considered.
- Can I edit my poster after submission?Only the first submission of each project will be accepted - ensure that you only submit the best and final version of your poster. No edited versions will be accepted later.
- What if I miss the submission deadline?Posters submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
- My poster does not match the required dimensions. Can I still submit it?Posters must be submitted in the required format with the correct dimensions; posters incorrectly formatted may appear distorted when printed. We will accept such submissions and alter them to fit our printer dimensions. We assume no responsibility for any distortion during printing.
- Do I have to attend the live event to participate in the Showcase? What if I live
outside of Anchorage? If you submit a poster to the showcase, you are expected to attend the live event. Please ensure that you have availability on the event day during the times indicated before making a submission. If you live outside of the Anchorage area you may still submit a poster, but it is your responsibility to secure a representative who can provide a laptop and video conference capability for you to present in your designated times.
- Can I submit projects from previous semesters to the Showcase? What about projects
I did at another university? The academic work you present must be work completed in your capacity as an undergraduate or graduate student at UAA during this academic year (Summer 2024 through Spring 2025). Projects with work from previous academic years, or projects that you created while you were a student at another university (including other UA campuses) will not be accepted.
