ePortfolio and Digital Storytelling Training

Time: October 30th from 4-5PM

Details: This is a training to help you create your ePortfolio, which you will present during the Honors College graduation ceremony. There are two training sessions offered Fall 2024, and we expect all graduating seniors to attend at least one of these trainings. Any Honors College students are welcome to attend, and we invite you to come to more than one.

Undergraduate Research & Creative Scholarship Showcase

An annual celebration and competition of UAA students academic work! Conducted in a competitive conference-style event, students have the opportunity to present their creative, sociological, scientific, or applied academic work, research, or projects for a chance to win prize money. Additionally, every competitor has their submitted project published on the Showcase website.

Honors Housing Scholarship!

UAA is pleased to offer students in the University Honors College a $1,500 per year housing scholarship. The Academic Honors Housing Scholarship is open to students in the University Honors College and recipients of the UA Scholars award. Additionally, University Honors College students who live in student housing in their second year and beyond are eligible to join the Academic Honors Living Learning Community (LLC). Being a part of the Academic Honors LLC gives University Honors College students the opportunity to live in a community of peers with programs, support and resources tailored to their specific needs. For more information on student housing and how to apply, please visit the Residence Life website.

Details:

The Academic Honors Housing Scholarship is applied each fall and spring semester as a $750 discount off the cost of room and board. The scholarship will be automatically applied; no additional application is needed! 

Students must remain in active status with the University Honors College to be eligible for the housing scholarship. First-time, first-year students who choose to live in student housing are required to participate in the First-Year Residential Experience (FYRE) Program the first year they live in student housing. After their first year, University Honors College students can join one of UAA鈥檚 amazing Living Learning Communities, including the Academic Honors LLC.
